It's amazing, when I'm shooting, I'm in a zone. I'm thinking about exposure, focus, framing, composition, etc. I'm not thinking about the beatiful person I'm working with. Well, that's not entirely true, we're talking, working together, but, you know, I'm not taken in, with my mouth hanging open at the models beauty or anything.
Well, I guess if did that, I'd get quite the reputation, I guess what I'm trying to say is that as I'm working through these, I'm amazed at how beautiful Carole is, and how fortunate I was to get to work with her!
It's funny isn't it. I often couldn't tell you what a model looked like naked until I see the shots. I was doing a shot with young Zoe and it took me 10 minutes to work out she was wandering the house naked. LOL. I thought it was just me getting old or summat.
all potential distortion issues aside (and it's only slightly noticeable, imho), there's a very nice 3-dimensional and soft, dream-like quality to this shot. this looks like difficult exposure to nail and i think you hit it straight on.
soft skin tones, excellent tonality and simple composition make for an excellent image. your "focus" on the image shows.
Definitely a pretty woman. Just out of curiosity I was wondering if you'd used any HDRI technique here as well as what kind of lens. I see some skewed squishing it looks like in the face I think, but I'm not really sure.
Yes, I think you're right, it was a pretty wide setting (looks like 28 mm so there may be some slight distortion on her face, but the fact that you can't be sure, I guess means I should leave it alone. And no to HDRI. I'm really pushing things with CS3 in raw conversions though...but, I do like how they turn out.
Bravo !
