I wish I could say I planned the DOF (well, I did sort of), but with that light, I was very limited to what speeds I could do. Surprisingly, a 1000W light is not as bright as you might expect...studio flashes are much brighter. I'm glad you like the shot!

Did you shoot with the camera in hand or with a tripod? I'm wondering if this shot would work with a tripod; it gives you a bit extra shutter speed, but it would only work if the drop was going down *really* slow I guess...

On in hand. And...when shooting with a model, the tripod is only as good as the model can hold still...which is also quite hard. Best to use a studio flash :)
